Release 12.1 – July 2024

Welcome to LearningBuilder 12.1!

This latest release introduces the new Video Attribute, an extension of our Large File Uploads functionality with big potential for practical assessments. Our Enhanced Data Import Tool, which optimizes bulk file uploads and extends what data can do in the system, is also now available from the Provider area, making it easy for education providers to import information directly into LearningBuilder.

Major Features:

• Video Attributes have arrived: End users can now upload video files directly into LearningBuilder, and those videos can later be streamed to reviewers or other users. If your program assesses competence through practical assessments rather than computer-based testing, then this feature might just change the game.

Usability Improvements:

• Our Enhanced Data Import Tool is now available from the Provider area! This allows education providers to move the application process forward through the mass upload of (for example) course attendance or student registration records.
• We have renamed “Import Queue File Types” to “Import Queue Processes” to describe their purpose more clearly.

Configuration Improvements:

• We’ve begun rolling out Application Insights, which allows Administrators to obtain detailed information about the use of and changes to a given configuration setting over time. Look for the “stars” icon!
• We’ve added a database tuning configuration option which can, in certain cases, increase Eligibility and Audit Queue performance.
• Administrators can now set Attributes to “hidden” when adding them to a Workflow. Previously, marking the Attribute as “hidden” required a separate configuration step, which created the possibility that a new (and not yet ready-to-use) Attribute would be temporarily visible to end users.
